The Art Slot
This weeks Art Slot is dedicated to Chuck Close, an American photographer & photorealist painter who primarily works with his own portraits, painted on a super massive scale made up of a series of grid like dots.
Chuck suffered from a Spinal Artey collapse in 1988 leaving him paralyzed from the waist down, yet he still continues to create huge masterpieces that are highly sought after by museums and collectors.

There is also this rad little blog someone has dedicated to him, showing various prints/paintings, definitely worth checking out!

Or maybe even just things Nick draws in the shop.

First up though, is the legendary Chris Bourke;
Tattooist, Printmaker & owner of Spine Skate Shop in Worcester, UK.
Chris has had his work published in Document, Sidewalk & numerous other art books worldwide.
He has also designed artwork for A Third Foot, Consolidated and Death Skateboards.
Not forgetting our good friends at Lovenskate, whose graphic now adorns the arm of it’s team member, Alex Barton.
